Submit a Book Report

Reading sharpens vocabulary, focus, memory and empathy — it helps you grow personally and serve more effectively in ministry. Never stop reading!

Maximum 2 book reports per year — 10 credits per report.

Deadline: book reports must be submitted by 20 November each year.

Pastors who, for reasons of economics or travel distance, find it difficult to attend enough training events may submit more than 2 reports per year. This must first be arranged with the National PCD office and your Regional PCD coordinator.

How to do a book report

The written report should be two (2) A4 pages long, and should not be a summary of the book.

Page 1 — cover page, including:

  • Your name, cell number and email address
  • The name of your region & assembly
  • Your Regional PCD coordinator's name, cell number and email address
  • Date of the report, book title, year of publication and author

Page 2 — your reflection, discussing:

  • The book's impact on your life and ministry
  • Your critical reflection on the book
  • What challenged you personally
  • What you plan to do about it

Please use the Book Review Template available on the PCD website. Submit reports as soon as they're done — don't wait until year-end.
